yesterday to celebrate our last day of freedom, joanna, karmen, and i went to mission beach to get last minute tans and brave the freezing cold water. joanna and i would have run all the way in and back out, but a kid came up to us and told us he found a dead jellyfish nearby and we decided to just stay put.
classes started today. along with my official work schedule. i only have 2 classes today, one of which is with joanna. yay! most of my classes are on tuesdays and thursdays. i'll post my classes after i crash a couple and get a more finalized schedule.
jordin, our fifth roommate, moved in the other day. he's pretty cool. really quiet though.
the last couple of evenings i have started running again. i'm up to a 25 min run. pretty good for someone who hates running.
my heart hurts for the people in new orleans. i have been watching CNN non-stop. i just saw a woman interviewed who was crying because she hasn't seen her husband since they evacuated their home. as she stood there clinging to their family photo with their 2 children i couldn't help but get tears in my eyes. i wish i could go there and help with the recovery. if only i didn't have school.
